About Heide

My name is Heide Göddert and I am the founder of Heide Reisen – a specialized online travel agency for private trips to Transylvania, Romania.

I was born and raised in Transylvania, near Sibiu, and belong to the community of Transylvanian Saxons.

German is my mother tongue, Romania is my home – this close personal and cultural connection continues to shape my work to this day.

I learned early on how important community, reliability, and good organization are. After emigrating to Germany, I worked in business for many years, gaining extensive experience in planning, organization, and customer service – including in the travel industry.

Today, I combine this professional experience with my deep regional knowledge of Transylvania within Romania.

I plan and organize private day trips, weekend trips, and 3-day trips (without flights), exclusive trips, and individual city tours. The geographical focus is on Transylvania, supplemented by selected destinations in Romania that are culturally and thematically relevant.

The trips are carried out in close cooperation with a carefully selected network of German-speaking tour guides, drivers, and local partners on site. I personally take care of planning, coordination, and quality.

I want you to not only visit Romania—and Transylvania in particular—but to truly experience it: the people, the history, the culture, and the landscapes. No mass-market programs, but personally planned experiences where you feel well taken care of and get to know the diversity of Romania in an authentic way.
